Two arrested for running fake job placement agency
Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Police on Thursday arrested two-person for allegedly running a fake placement agency office in Beheramal in Jharsuguda. They have duped several youths seeking jobs.
Police identified the duo as Basant Lal alias Alok (24 years old) a resident of Kandichandpur village under Sitapur District of Uttar Pradesh and Mohamad Aslam alias Raj (28 years old), a resident of Muradgang village under Kannouj District of Uttar Pradesh.
Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Rahul Jain said that “The duo used to circulate their advertisement material at different remote villages of Bargarh, Sonepur, Deogarh, Sambalpur district alluring the innocent unemployed youths to offer fake Jobs in Mahindra Showroom with an attractive salary of around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000. After seeing the advertisement, many unemployed youths use to visit their office where the accused person use to collect Rs.1500 from each candidate. In this way, they have cheated the innocent youths by offering fake job offer letters for employment in different Mahindra showrooms.
The case was registered on the report of one complaint by Santilata Sahu of Railway Colony, Jharsuguda. Soon after the case both accused had fled away from the locality. A special team could be able to apprehend the accused person from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The accused persons to the house on rent by producing fake Aadhar cards in the name of Alok and Raj. We have seized Rs.20,000 cash,4 mobile phones, advertisement materials, Banner, money receipts etc. Both accused have been forwarded to court.”
