Fake Job racket Busted , 3 held

 

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Police on Monday busted a Fake job Racket and held three people for cheating a person on the pretext of offering a job in the Indian Railway Department

Police identified the accused as Rajesh Badi (30) and his two sisters, Jharna Badi (32), Rajkumari Badi (19), all are residents of Babupada, Purnabasti and were living at Pradhanpalli chowk at Bargarh

As reported, as per the complaint filed by one victim Manas Ranjan Patel of Chichinda Village under Brajrajnagar police station. On 17th October, he received a phone call from mobile no. 9078362913 who offered a job in the Indian Railway Department. Later one male and two women had called him to a Private Hotel and demanded 14 Lakhs in Cash for providing him with a joining letter. Subsequently, on 22nd October, the victim Manas had again visited the private hotel and had handed a bag containing Rs. 14 Lakhs for seeking a job joining letter. The accused cunningly took the victim to room no. 212 of the Hotel and locked the door from outside. In the meantime, they took the cash bag and kept another bag containing bundles of cuttings papers. When the victim came out and found the bag with cutting papers and the accused had already fled away from the hotel in their Indigo Car number OR 02 BG 0507. After which the victim had lodged a complaint at Jharsuguda Police Station. Based on this Jharsuguda Police has launched an investigation.

On 24th October, Jharsuguda police nabbed all the three accused from Bargarh with the assistance of Bargarh Police. During interrogation, it was learnt that all the three accused had admitted to having committed the crime. For the easy process of income, they had committed this crime and had made this conspiracy by collecting the victim’s number and offering him a job in Indian Railway Department and cheating him of Rs. 14 Lakhs. After receiving this amount, they had left the hotel in an indigo car with a fake number plate. Additionally, at the time of booking a hotel also used a fake Voter ID Card.

While speaking to the media, Jharsuguda SP Bikash Ch. Das said, “We have arrested all the three accused and seized cash of Rs. 12,96,000 along with the seizure of one White Color Indigo Car, three mobile phones, one laptop, fake Aadhar cards and voter id cards in other people’s names, one small lamination machine. All the three accused have been forwarded to court.”
