Woman and minor daughters death case: Missing Husband found dead

Brajrajnagar : A day after the bodies of a woman and two minor daughters were found dead in their rented house at Brajrajnagar, Brajrajnagar police on Thursday has found the dead body of the husband who had gone missing after the incident.

Police identified the deceased as Narayan Podar (35year), who was found from a well at fatak pada at Ganganagar under Brajrajnagar Police limits. Narayan Podar use to work as a daily labour.

On Wednesday, his wife Soni Podar (30) along with her two daughters aged about 5 years and 3 years were found dead at their rented accommodation at Ganganagar. As Narayan was missing from the spot, police had launched a search operation for him, when the police had found his body in a well near his house on Thursday morning.

As per the preliminary reports, there was no external injury mark on the bodies of the kids while the neck of the Soni Poddar had some nail marks.

Jharsuguda Police has detained Narayan’s younger brother Kalakhanu Podar for interrogation after learning that, Soni had lodged a complaint at the local police station for an alleged rape attempt.

Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Bikash Ch. Das said, “Since yesterday, we had been searching the husband of the deceased, however, on Thursday, the dead body of husband has been recovered from a well. After examining the Post mortem Report and Scientific report we would be able to know the mystery behind the cause of the death.”
