Lockdown Impact! After 6 days state daily COVID19 cases below 10K
Bhubaneswar: After 6 days of Lockdown, the state daily covid cases declines below 10K. Earlier, as predicted by Kanpur IIT Mathematician, Covid Cases in Odisha would be at a peak during the first week of May. After the Odisha Government imposed a 14-day-lockdown which began on May 5, the covid caseload has been reduced. Â
However the state had more than 10,000 cases of covid19 cases per day for five consecutive days, but now it has finally broken. According to a state govt report, 9,753 covid cases detected in the state in the last 24 hours whereas Eighteen were reported as dead.
Out of the 9,753 new cases, 5,536 were in quarantine. The remaining 4,256 are local cases. The highest number of infected was 1511 from Khordha district and 1,014 from Sundergarh district.
641 people were identified from Cuttack district, 526 from Angul, 404 Jharsuguda, 401 Nuapadha.
