TRL Krosaki receives the Indian Chamber of Commerce Social Impact Award for the year 2021
Jharsuguda : TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited won the coveted “Indian Chamber of Commerce Social Impact Award for the year 2021” in the Large Enterprise Category. The company’s application for the award was selected for the impact it has created in the prevention and management of COVID 19 in society through its Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Rajib Nag, Dy. General Manager (Marketing) received the award from His Excellence Nakamura Yutoka, Consul General, Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata. Radhakanta Das, Dy. General Manager (Administration) accompanied Nag while receiving the award. Eminent personalities like Vikash Agrawal, President of Indian Chamber of Commerce, Daniel Sim, Deputy Consul General of Australian Consulate General in Kolkata, Nicholas Low, Deputy High Commissioner, British High Commission in Kolkata and Ms. Nayantara Palchouchury, Chairperson ICC Women Empowerment and Development Expert Committee were also present on the dais during the award function, which was organised in ICC Conference Hall, Kolkata on March 12, 2021.
The company’s application was shortlisted after being evaluated by a panel of jury comprising of leading specialists in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. Santosh Kumar Mishra made the presentation before the Jury and an audience comprising of CSR executives of a number of organizations from different parts of the country. The company’s presentation was highly appreciated by the Jury and the Audience.
Organisations like Ultratech Cement, IMFA, Sony, Indian Tea Association, UAL Industries, SBI Foundation, Prime Metal Technologies, etc. participated in the event.
Dr. Tarapada Dash, Sr. Vice President (Corporate Services) congratulated and thanked all the stakeholders on this achievement. According to Dr Dash, Health Care has been a priority area for TRL Krosaki. At the time of COVID 19 Pandemic, the company has felt that it is a necessity to take up this project for prevention and control of COVID 19 in society.
Corporate Social Responsibility has been a focused area of TRL Krosaki since its inception. The company aims to improve the quality of life of the communities living around its operations who are the key communities for the company. It believes in inclusive growth and strives to positively impact the lives of its key communities. The company understands and addresses the concerns of communities through mutual consultation and partnership mode. It is noteworthy to mention here that, the company is one of the few companies in the country which spends more than the minimum legal mandate in CSR.
