No Respect for Covid warriors in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda : In Jharsuguda District, the family members of a COVID warrior, who died yesterday had to wait more than 13 hours for the release of the dead body of their Kin.
The deceased was identified as Sarat Chandra Podh, He was working as attendant at Gynaecology department. He was in service for last 30 years.
His family members have alleged that in spite of being a Hospital staff, they had to wait more than 13 hours to get his body, all the family members had waited at Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital to get the body.
After the intervention of Executive Magistrate and Police officials, who reached the spot and tied to sort out the issue.
Till the filing of the news the body was not released.
While protestors termed the incident as tragic and inhumane, the hospital authorities are yet to respond on what led to the alleged delay in handing over the body of the deceased.
