Rafael Jet Themed Ganesh Puja
Jharsuguda : Owing toCOVIDcontagion, This year’s Ganesha celebrationsacross the district was a homely affair after restrictions on holding any mass festivals and roadside pendals. However, these restrictions didnt dampened the mood and creativity of the residents. Several residents have come up with their innovative ideas of observing this Ganesh Chaturthi in unique theme.
One such innovative theme was shared by a 25 year old Kanisha Saxena, a resident of Bhusan Township observed Ganesh Chaturthi at home by adorning the entire place on the recent acquisition of Rafael Jets acquired by India, with a theme of ” Bharat Ka Bharmhastra.”
Speaking to JSGLIVE.IN, Kanisha Saxena said that “Just like last year, this year also we thought to have some latest and new theme for the Ganesh Chaturthi. So , we thought of building a theme of Rafael Jet Fighter Aircraft, since this was the recent achievement of India and was a good news despite of COVID19. We are proud of our PM Narendra Modi and thankful to him for this efforts in upgrading our defence system by acquiring latest techniques and arms. Additionally, we wanted to give a small tribute to Indian Air Force and a symbol of strength since we lost so many soldiers recently. We salute all of them.”
However, due to COVID19 restriction it was hard to get decor items so we utilised available raw materials like packaging cardboards and chart paper, lights, flag which was stitched at home. We made Lord Ganesha to sit on the Rafael Aircraft, which was on a standing position, which was a real challenge because it is not easy for a paper aircraft to hold Lord Ganesha’s heavy idol but we somehow managed to keep over it with a slogan as to “Bappa ki Sawari, China pe Bhari”. In this decoration, me my parents(Rajeev Saxena and Sarita Saxena), my brother (Aniket Saxena) and my neighbour(Priyanshu Satpathy) had helped me.
