JHARSUGUDA : Five people have been arrested on the charges of cattle smuggling and as many as 43 cattle’s were rescued from a Container Truck near Amlipali Villager in Lakhanpur Block of Jharsuguda District, on Thursday, a police officer said.
After receiving information through sources, Rengali Police team led by IIC Sarangdhar Panigarhi, had seized the truck. Around 43 cattle have been rescued from the truck, the police officer said, adding they were being transported to Kolkata in West Bengal.
Two motorcycle were also seized from them. Presently, all the cattle’s have been shifted to Jharsuguda Goushala.
