Jharsuguda : On the occasion of the 71st Van Mahotsav, Jharsuguda Forest Department and Youngsters Charitable Trust had jointly distributed saplings among the local residents of Sarbahal. These saplings were provided to the local residents at token money of Rs. 1.
For records purpose, people have to register themselves by providing their name and mobile before buying these saplings.
Many local citizens were seen happy to be a part of this noble initiative in making our environment clean and green.
Navin Mishra, a resident of Jhanda Chowk, says that this is a good initiative of the Forest Department. Our Jharsuguda is considered to be the most polluted town, and in such a situation, the forest department is working to give these saplings for the right purpose. I want to urge everyone to plant at least one sapling during this month, he added.
Sujata Lenka, a resident of sarbahal said that it is also our duty that we should keep our nature and surrounding healthy. For that, we must do plantation in our surroundings. In such situations, this is the best initiative by the forest department that we should promote. In such a situation, I request every person to do plantation.
Ram Ch. Nath the forester, Jharsuguda Forest Department said that,” We are doing this initiative to encourage people to plant more trees and make out town more greener. .”
