Two Days National Sambalpuri Conference Inaugurated at Jharsuguda.

Jharsuguda : A two day, 2nd National Sambalpuri Conference, organised by Paschimanchal Ekta Manch �was inaugurated at Indoor Sports Complex, Mangal Bazaar on Saturday. This function was inaugurated on Saturday, in the presence of Sundargrah MLA Smt. Kusum Tete along with Rengali MLA Nauri Nayak and Padmashree Jitendra Haripal.

Earlier, a Cultural rally was also organised from Bus Stand to the Conference Venue, in which various school children’s and several members of social organisations were dressed into Sambalpuri traditional attire along with tradition music beats had taken part in this rally.

“The main aim of organising this conference is to promote our Sambalpuri culture in the country through cultural dance, music, drama. We have also kept a series of seminars and discussions regarding how we can promote our culture. We have invited around 37 MLAs of 11 districts of Western Odisha and 10 MPs, apart from eminent personalities with contribution in art, literature and culture who have also been invited to this two days event.” said the co-ordinator Ajith Kumar Rath, Paschimanchal Ekta Manch, Jharsuguda .

“It’s an noble step that the organiser have organised such platform to promote the Sambalpuri Culture at Jharsuguda. We demand that our Sambalpuri language which is spoken in 11 district of Western Odisha should be taken forward and should be recognised by the government.’ Said Smt. Kusum Tete , Sundargarh MLA

“This is an very appreciable step taken by the organiser for bringing everyone in one platform and also felicitating those eminent personalities with contribution in Sambalpuri art, literature and culture. I think this platform will act as a small steps of a ladder in promoting the Sambalpuri culture.” said Nauri Nayak, Rengali MLA
