Daughter of expelled BJD leader Anup Sai moves to Odisha Human Right Commission alleging unlawful arrest of father and action against Chhatisgahr police

Jharsuguda : Daughter of expelled BJD leader Anup Sai, who was arrested by Raigarh police of Chhattisgarh in connection with the murder of Kalpana Das and her 14-year-old daughter, has moved to Odisha Human Rights commission alleging unlawful arrest of her father and demands police protection and action against Chhattisgarh Police.

She along with the cousin brother met Asim Amitabh Das, Member Human Right Commission, Odisha and handed a memorandum to him.

“My cousin sister Shubrasmita Sai, has handed over a letter to Human Right Commission Chairman stating unlawful arrest of her father Anup Sai by Chhattisgarh Police and also hurted the reputation of Anup Sai by producing him as a convict in the Double murder case. He has taken our grievance and said that he will look into this matter. Additionally, on Monday, our advocate has given a plea in the Raigarh court, that as Subham (Son of Anup Sai) has a threat to his life for which, we want the interrogation of Subham, should be conducted at our home or at any Police Station in Odisha. We are also getting many threat for which we want protection for our family.” said Sangram Sai, Nephew of Anup Sai   

While speaking to the media, “The family members has met me and has given their request and we will look into the matter but we have also made them understood that , the case is in Chhattisgarh and not in Odisha and I cannot comment on that issue as that case is at an investigation stage.” said Asim Amitabh Das, Member, Human Right Commission, Odisha
