Jharsuguda : Four-person were arrested in the connection with a theft of goods laden pick up van worth Rs. 10 Lakhs, which was stolen from Sarbahal area under Jharsuguda Town Police Station limits.
Police identified the main accused as Narendra Sharma (30), a resident of Badabazaar, Khetrajpur under Sambalpur District.� Police also arrested the three receivers of goods Kasinath Nayak (42), a resident of Bhubaneswar, Md. Parvez (35), a resident of Bargarh and Yogesh Solanki(26), a resident of Bhubaneswar.
As per the police officials, On 7th January, one Binod Yadav (Vehicle Owner), a resident of Chowkipada, had parked his goods laden vehicle Mahindra Max Pickup Van (OR 23 B 3641), worth Rs. 10 Lakhs in front�of Great India Transport at Sarbahal, for delivery at Sundargarh Branch. He parked his vehicle due to all India Strike and thought of taking his vehicle on 8th January evening but when he came back on 8th January evening he found that his vehicle along with the loaded goods worth Rs. 10 Lakhs was missing. He suspected that the vehicle was stolen and reported the matter to the Jharsuguda Town Police Station.
Based on the complaint filed, Jharsuguda Town Police registered a theft case and started its investigation. After Investigation Jharsuguda Town Police successfully nabbed the prime accused Narendra Sharma alias Nandu of Sambalpur from Bhubaneswar and seized the vehicle as well as the stolen goods. Police also arrested the three-person, who were the receiver of these stolen goods.
Based on the interrogation, the accuse Narendra Sharma had accepted to have committed the crime. Jharsuguda Police had seized two Mobile Phones along with the Mahindra Max Pickup Vehicle (ORS 23 B 3641) along with the laden good which was stolen.
The accuse Narendra Sharma also has various cases registered on his name in Sambalpur, Bolangir.
