No Spicejet flights for Jharsuguda – Delhi- Jharsuguda on Mondays till 30th Sept’ 2019
Jharsuguda : One of the most popular routes of Veer Surendra Sai Airport (VSS) i.e. Jharsuguda – Delhi – Jharsuguda, operated by Spicejet airlines, will not operate on every Monday till the 30th September 2019. The exact reason for this has not been specified yet.
This information was given through the Spicejet official twitter account. The reason given behind this through twitter was given that the flight has been discontinued due to the schedule change.
As per the reports, Spicejet was the first to introduce its daily service from the Jharsuguda city to Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata from March 31st. Since the start, Jharsuguda – Delhi Sector, has witnessed more than 95% passenger occupancy of air travellers from the VSS Airport.
In this regard, even a memorandum has been handed over by the Baristha Nagarik Sangh to the Airport Director demanding immediate steps to restart the flight service on Monday for the benefit of the air travellers along with start of new sectors like Mumbai to Bangalore.
VSS Airport, Director, Sudesh Kumar Chauhan said, ” I have no official confirmation from the Spicejet, However, I have come to know this across some media reports that Spicejet has withdrawn its flights for sector Jharsuguda – Delhi – Jharsuguda on every Monday till 30th September 2019. However, I have apprised this matter to my higher up and also to the station manager of Spicejet to take up this matter with their headquarters at Gurgaon.”
