Four arrested in connection with Amit Dhal Murder case

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Police on Thursday arrested four people in connection with the murder of a 37-year-old man in Brajrajnagar on 24th June 2019. The victim who was identified as� Amit Dhal (37), a resident of Brajrajnagar.

The arrested four people were identified as� Sandip Kumar Singh alias Bulu(25years) of Brajrajnagar, Okil Ray alias Yadav(22 years) of Gwalapada, Brajrajngar, Ramesh Paikray alias Gurmeet (30 years) of Belpahar and Md. Shabaz (28 years), a resident of Belpahar.

As per the police officials, On 24th June 2019, at around 8 pm in the evening, the victim Amit Dhal was playing cards with his friends near his office, when two miscreants named Bulu alias Sandip Kumar Singh and Gurmeet alias Ramesh Paikray had fired five rounds of bullet in which Amit Dhal was injured and had been shifted to Central Hospital Mandalia but later succumbed to his injuries on his way to VIMSAR Burla.

Based on the complained filed by his cousin brother Hemanta Dhala (24),   Brajrajnagar Police had started its investigation and had arrested four miscreants involved in this murder case.

Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Aswini Kumar Mohanty, “The main reason of this murder case was due to previous enmity between two groups of anti social headed by one Amit Dhala and another group. Before the firing incident, there was some quarrel between the followers of Amit Dhala and other Group at Samleswari Mines, where the followers of Amit Dhal had assaulted the followers of another Group. When the follower of another Group had decided to eliminate Amit Dhal. The other Group had procured five nos. of illegal arms with 35 live ammunitions and had been distributed among themselves and they finally executed the plan on 24th June.

We have seized four country-made pistols from all the four accused along with 20 rounds of live ammunition respectively and two vehicles used in this crime. However, some more people who are involved in this crime are still absconding and will be nabbed soon.”
