Nomination for second Phase Poll Ends; total 23 candidates files nomination for Jharsuguda and Brajrajnagar Constituency
Jharsuguda : Amidst show of strength, the candidates of several political parties on Tuesday and filed their nominations for the constituencies going to polls in the second phase on April 18. BJD’s Kishore Kumar Mohanty filed his nomination for Brajrajnagar Assembly seat before Jharsuguda Sub Collector on Tuesday.
Officials sources said that 23 candidates including 11 for Jharsuguda Constituency and 12 for Brajrajnagar Constituency have filed their nomination, which will go for polls in the second phase.
From Brajrajnagar Constituency, BJD’s Kishore Kumar Mohanty, Mithila Chhuria (Independent), Subhash Behera (Pragatisil Samjavadi Party,PSP), Sitaram Rohidas (BSP), Saraswati Degada (Bharat Bhoomi Party), Bhagwat Sa (Kosal Kranti Dal, KKD), Rajani Bhue (Odisha Pragati Dal), Manoj Kumar Agarwal (Independent) had filed their nomination.
On Monday, Smt. Radha Rani Panda (BJP), Ramesh Tripathy (CPI), Hara Prasad Meher (Samta Kranti Dal), Ajay Prasad Mondal (Independent had filed their nomination)
From Jharsuguda Constituency, Congress’s Mahendra Naik, BJP’s Dinesh Jain, Debananda Barik (Pragatisil Samjavadi Party,PSP) , Kartikeswar Ghugar (BSP), Snehalata Naik (Independent), Prasanta Patel (Kosal Kranti Dal, KKD), Manish Sharma (Hindustan Nirman Dal), Punyadan Naik (Odisha Pragati Dal) had filed their nomination for Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency.
However, there were an additional two nominations were done from Congress party filed by Birendra Pandey and Rekha Hota. Rekha Pandey
On Monday, BJD’s Naba Kishore Das had filled his nomination by organising a huge rally.
