Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Government Railway Police arrested a Couple carrying 16.5 kilograms of Ganja while they were going to Delhi in Utkal Express train, police said on Thursday
The duo accused were identified as Itishree Mahakul (22), a resident of Ichhapur, Kendrapara and Amanullah Sidhique (25), a resident of Adapur, District Mothihari Bihar
Jharsuguda Government Railway Police, DSP, Dr K. K. Panigrahi said that” We received credible information from the Rourkela that a young couple is travelling from Rourkela to Delhi with 16.5 Kg of Ganja in Train No. 18477 ( Utkal Express) in AC Coach B3, Berth No. 7 and 8 on 3rd January and As per the direction, Government Railway Police and Railway Police Force jointly conducted a raid and found the couple with Ganja stuffed inside a luggage trolley bag. We have arrested the couple under section 20(b) NDPS Act and forwarded to court.”
