Goods train hits a Hywa at unmanned level crossing at Rajpur, No Casualty reported

Jharsuguda : �A Goods Train hits a stranded Hywa at unmanned Railway Crossing near Rajpur Village under Jharsuguda District on Friday late night. The restoration work is underway to clear the railway tracks.

Reports say, On Friday night, a Hywa truck, which developed some technical snags had been lying stranded at the un-manned Railway Crossing, near Rajpur Village, Brajrajnagar. However, a goods train coming from Jharsuguda to Sargeda Coal Siding (under Sundargarh District) collided with the stranded Hywa truck at night. Due to which a boogie of the goods trains derailed. However, No casualties have been reported yet. This Railway Line connects Jharsuguda to Sardega (in Sundargarh district) Coal Siding under Basundhara Area of MCL in Hemgir block .

“Around 58 empty wagon was heading towards the Sardega Coal siding, when it hit the stranded Hywa, near Rajpur Village. After the truck collided with the engines of this goods train, it hit the first wagon, which got capsizes and tumbled down. However, No casualties have been reported yet. The restoration work in under progress.” said a South Eastern Railway official
