OPGC starts Water Supply for periphery Villages thorugh tankers
IB Thermal�: Odisha Power Generation Corporation(OPGC) has started supply of potable water to periphery villages of IB thermal Power Station through tankers. Like previous year, 43 villages in 8 gram panchayat is being covered through this programme. Water supply has started to 33 villages from 6th of April, 2017. Supply to five villages under Telenpali and Dalgaon (Group-IV) has started from today(20th April). The rest five villages under Kusuraloi panchayat (Group-III) shall get the potable water supply from 21 April, 2017. This programme shall continue till 5th of July, 2017 which may get extended further depending upon the arrival of monsoon.� 6 tankers and one truck are deployed which make multiple trips per day to cover 43 villages. The villages come under gram panchayats �Dalagaon, Kusuraloi, Kumarbandh, Piplikani, Remanda, Rampela, Tilia and Telenpali. 10 litres of drinking water per person per day is being supplied under this programme which totals to 1,10,000 litres of supply per day. This water supply is in addition to the pipeline water supply OPGC has been providing round the year to 17 villages in the periphery of IB Thermal Power Station.
