Jharsuguda : �Odisha�s star hockey player and national hockey team�s talented defender Birendra Lakra tied a knot on Monday at Jharsuguda. He got married to Rashmita Kerketta of Sundergarh Dist. Bangalore-based Rashmita has completed her studies from the Institute of Company Secretary and currently working with a Bangalore-based company as an Asst. Manager.
The Marriage ceremony was held at St. Arnold Chruch situated at Cox colony. Apart from hockey players and friends, MP and former Captain of National hockey Team Dilip Tirkey was also present on this occasion.
“It will be quite difficult for me to adjust, as a sports person he will be travelling all the time and I have to be alone for quite some time but �I am feeling very happy that we got married after being three years in a relationship. It feels good to get married with your boyfriend,” said Rashmita
The Olympian hockey player from Odisha�s Sundargarh district had gotten engaged to Rashmita on January 5 last year.
