Two arrested in Jharsuguda BOI Bank Dacoity Case
Jharsuguda : In a major success, Jharsuguda Police on Thursday claimed to have solved the Bank of India’s Beheramal Branch dacoity case by arresting two miscreants involved in the dacoity.
Acting on a tip-off by sources, a joint raid was conducted by Jharsuguda Police and Rourkela Commissionerate Police team and arrested Ramsish Choudhary (30) , a resident of Amas of District Gaya (Bihar). Shwet Kumar Choudhary (27) ,� a resident of Nuruddinpur of District Siwan (Bihar) from Rourkela.
Jharsuguda SDPO B.K. Nanda said that” We have arrested the two culprits who were involved in the Jharsuguda Bank of India’s Beheramal Branch Dacoity case held on 5th May 2016. In this dacoity the accused were able to decamp 86 Lakhs from the bank and had also fled away with the hard disk of the CCTV. For nabbing, the suspects around three police teams were formed under the supervision of Jharsuguda S.P. These accused have been also involved in six other dacoity cases held in West Bengal, Odisha , Jharkhand and Chhattishgarh. However, the main kingpin of this dacoity gang is still at large. We have seized a country made pistol with one round live ammunition from them and have been forwarded to court for remand.”
