Jharsuguda : Around 26 young boys were initiated to chanting of Gayatri Mantra amid vedic rituals as part of a “Brata Upanayan” ceremony organised under the aegis of Brahman Samaj here on Wednesday.
The mass thread ceremony was organised by the Zilla Brahman Samaj at Shree Jaganaath Mandir , Sarbahal . The devotees recited the mantras on this occasion.
Organisers said that this the participants took part in the ritual along with their family members . The participants neither had took bring any items required nor they had to pay for this rituals.
In this Rabindra Dixit, President , Himanshu Barpanda (Secretary), Rajram Nayak (Cashier), Purna Chandra Mafidar , Ramdayal Panda, Bikari Chandra PAdhi , Shahsi Bhusan Nayak , Sarat Tripathy along with Pintu Padhi were present in this event.
