Colorful Kite festival concludes, amount collected will be utilized for under privilege Children of the district.
Jharsuguda: �The Jharsuguda town�s skyline on Sunday came alive with hundreds of vibrant kites trying to fly high each other in the Kite festival was organized by Jharsuguda Round Table at Man mohan School Ground. �Designer kites dotted the Blue Sky and created a riot of colors as the event which evoked a good response among the people.
Hundreds of the Kite flyers from the district and the neighboring district had participated in this one day festival along with the cultural programmes performed by children�s of various schools. In this event specially abled children�s from Asha Kiran and Utkal Seva Sadan had performed in the function.
The function was inaugurated by Jharsuguda MLA Naba Kishore Das in morning by flying the Kite. �Brajrajnagar MLA Radha Rani Panda had also visited as guest and had visited the various stall put up.
Appreciating the efforts of the organizers, Ashok Sharma of Jharsuguda said the festival is a positive step towards promoting tourism in Jharsuguda.
At the closing ceremony, RDC (Northern Range) Dr Pramod Kumar Meherda , had presented mementos to the children�s participated in the cultural function.
Secretary of Jharsuguda Round Table, Mudit Singhania said that, �After getting a very good response during the first year, we have organized this fund raising event second time for Charity. The amount collected from this event will be utilized for the betterment of under privilege children in the district.�
�Our main aim is to popularize the kite festival and involve more and more people and make this yearly event the most sought festival of Jharsuguda.� said by Dinesh Sahu, Chairman of Jharsuguda Round Table.
