15 days ultimatum given to CM to fulfill the demand: CAC
Jharsuguda:�The Central Action Committee (CAC), spearheading the movement for a high court bench in western Odisha has given 15 days ultimatum to CM to send a recommendation to Centre for establishment of HC bench in Western Odisha. This decision was taken in a CAC core committee�meeting held on�Thursday at Jharsuguda.
In this meeting, out of 37 bars association of Western Odisha, 33 bars had participated. In which bar presidents from various�district like�Sambalpur , Deogarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Sundargarh, Nuapada and Jharsuguda were present.
�We would again demand CM to send a complete proposal as per the law to Centre, passing through Cabinet. We have given a 15 days� ultimatum to the CM for fulfil our demand. Keeping�in view of coming festivals Nuakhai and Ganesh Puja , we have decided to give relaxation of fifteen�days starting from 1st September. But�during these fifteen�days�our agitation would continue and our relay strike will be done in front of RDC Office along with respective Dist. Headquarters. Our slogan till the formation of High Court is �No Court, No Vote� and would request all the Western Odisha public and Political Parties not to participate in Election.�CAC convenor Ashok Das told media persons.
Jharsuguda Bar President, Dinesh Jain, �In a meeting held with all political parties and local association on Wednesday, all have said that if CAC appeals for No Court, No Vote then will accept it and they will follow it.�
�Whatever has been decided in this meeting, we will take forward according to it, we are very much hopeful that Odisha CM will surely fulfil our demand and would give a complete proposal to centre,� Says Prasanna Padhi, President, Nuapada Bar Association
�In this meeting Rourkela, Bolangir , Kalahandi and Titlagarh had not participated.
