Jharsuguda:�Protesting against the remark made by the�Union planning minister Rajeev Shukla�over granting special category status to Odisha as per the present criteria.�BJD activist here on 23rd August,Friday burnt the effigies of Rajeev Shukla , UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Railway Station Chowk. They Shouted slogans against the UPA for neglecting Odisha.
�BJD�s Jharsuguda District President Kishore Mohanty, BJYD president Trinath Gual , BJD Vice President Rabi Sigh , �Gen. Secretary Dileshwar Rao , Ex- Chairperson Tapas Ray Choudhary , Sandeep Awasthy, Party�s Women Wing president Jaykumari Patel took part in this protest. Kishore Mohanty said �Our CM has been repeatedly asking Centre to grant Special Status to Odisha but Congress has been neglecting it. Hence we are condemning the statement given by�Union planning minister�Rajeev Shukla and want to expose the attitude of Congress shown towards Odisha.�
