Lucky pilgrimages returned from Uttarakhand

Jharsuguda: A thirteen member team of pilgrimages returned from flood-ravaged Uttarakhand on Sunday afternoon.

Narrating his experience, Suresh More said that “After reaching Haridwar on 13th we had began our Journey for Yamunotri late. But on reaching Yamunotri at 3 P.M. next day, we decided to halt due to heavy rain falls. Next morning when we resumed our journey for Gangotri, one of our colleagues who was ahead alerted and asked us to stay back where we are as there was heavy landslides and road were closed. We remained stranded at Brahmankhal for six days with no mobile networks, no facilities and no positive answer from any officials. Luckily we had accompanied home – cooked foods and water bottles due to which we survived and returned back safely once the roads were reopened.”

“As we were behind our schedule, we were lucky to return back safely otherwise we don’t know what would happened to us. I just want to thank God our lucky escape.” said Dinesh Didwania

They were hugged and greeted by their relatives and friends by garlanding them at Jharsuguda railway station.
