Jharsuguda: Hundreds of Asaram Bapu supporters and members of Yog Vedant Seva Samiti had staged rail roko at Jharsuguda Railway Station and blocked roads to protest against his arrest in a sexual assault case on Thursday.
In this protest, even Women�s had also taken part and had shouted slogan against his arrest.
The protesters had staged rail roko around 11.30a.m. and had delayed the Kalinga – Utkal Express by 15 minutes. The supporters even took to streets, and had sat on the road, blocking the SH -10 near Kishan Chowk, Beheramal. However, the Police officials had booked the protesters and cleared the traffic.
Ramesh Singh, Prafulla Patel, Tapan Chandra, Loknath Rohidas, N. Sriniwas Rao along with women supporters had participated in this protest.
