Jharsuguda Police Crack ₹1.28 Crore Vinayakpuram Lane Dacoity: 8 Key Accused Arrested, Huge Cache of Cash, Gold, Silver, Firearms, Vehicles & Electronics Recovered After Intensive Cyber-Forensic Investigation

Jharsuguda : In a major breakthrough, the Jharsuguda Police on Saturday successfully detected and cracked the high-profile VinayakPuram Lane Dacoity Case, which was reported on November 19, 2025. The swift action, relying heavily on advanced scientific methods, digital evidence analysis, and cyber forensic techniques, led to the arrest of eight accused persons, including a woman, and the recovery of a substantial haul of stolen property.

Police identified the accused as Sanjay Singh (53), a resident of Arrah, District Bhojpur, Bihar and residing at Govindpur in Eastsinghbhum, Akash alias Radhakanta Kanhar (38), a resident of Maneswar , Boudh , presently residing at Kumbharpada , Sarbhal, Jharsuguda, Ashok kumar Panda(58) , a resident of Bombay Chowk, Jagabandhu Bwhera (56) , a resident of Cuttack, Kanha Charan Swain (25) a resident of Paradeep , Anand Rai , resident of Bada Babijori , Bolangir, Jitendra Sahoo , a resident of Jagatsinghpur and one woman Sushila Meher (30) a resident of belpada of Bolangir. Along with Two CICL
Police seized Cash of Rs. 37 Lakhs 27 thousand, Gold Ornaments, Coins Approximately 521 Grams (Value Rs 66 lac 56 thousand), Silver Ornaments, Coins/Biscuits Approximately 14.32 Kilogram (Value Rs 24 lac 77 thousand), Three numbers of Country made Pistols with 12 Numbers of Ammunitions, Two numbers of Knives, One Hyundai i20 Car, One S-Presso car, Two Numbers of Scotty, One Pulsar Motorcycle , One Iphone, One TV, One Fridge, One Home Theatre, (Approx value 1.5 lac, Purchased by CICL from stolen cash) and 12 Numbers of Mobile Phones. along with Original and Fake Registration Number plates, battery.

Jharsuguda SP G.R. Raghavendra said, “We have nabbed eight accused along with two CICL in this case. After registering the case, we formed multiple teams to track the accused. Our teams visited various locations and coordinated with other states as well. Based on the digital evidence, we were able to apprehend the accused and recover the stolen amount.”
