Stolen truck recovered under ‘Operation Netra’; three arrested

Jharsuguda: In a swift breakthrough under Operation Netra, Jharsuguda police have recovered a stolen truck worth ₹10 lakh and arrested three accused in connection with the case.

According to police, complainant Sanjay Kumar Yadav (40) of Dipupada lodged a report at Sadar Police Station on September 20, stating that his truck (Registration No. OR 21A 0277), parked near Reliance Petrol Pump on SH-10 at Beherapat, was stolen during the night of September 19/20.

Acting on the direction of SP Jharsuguda, a special team led by the IIC of Sadar PS was constituted. Through CDR analysis and scrutiny of CCTV footage, investigators traced the vehicle to Raipur in neighbouring Chhattisgarh. The stolen truck was recovered and seized.

Police have arreste three accused identified as Vikash Yadav (27) of Dipupada, Jharsuguda; Amarjeet Kumar (25) of Baktari, Arubal district, Bihar; and Ramesh Kumar (40) of Choupada, Jahanabad district, Bihar.

All three were booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and produced before the SDJM Court, Jharsuguda on Saturday.

 

Police said the operation marks yet another success in their intensified crackdown on vehicle thefts under Operation Netra.
