Jharsuguda BJP delegation demands basic facilities before bus stand shift
Jharsuguda: A delegation of Jharsuguda BJP, led by Tankadhar Tripathy, met the District Magistrate today to demand basic facilities before the bus stand is shifted to a new location.
The delegation presented an 11-point list of demands, including the use of the old bus stand as a city bus stand, the provision of bus services to Brajrajnagar, Kolabira, Laikera, Kuchinda, and Lakhanpur, the restriction of heavy vehicle traffic on the new bus station road, the installation of a police station at the new bus stand, adequate lighting on the bus stand road, local bus service from 5 AM to 12 PM, adequate toilets, CCTV monitoring Road, drinking water at the new bus stand, an ambulance with first-aid facilities, an auto stand in front of the bus stand with government fares mentioned, and a traffic post near the SP’s office.
The BJP representatives demanded that the District Collector start the bus stand after first providing basic facilities to the people, without shifting the bus stand in a hurry.
The delegation included Bimalendu Bhola, Lalit Magar, Satya Bohidar, Bablu Singh, Sonu Thirani, Debabrata Padhee, Premsen, Dileswar Rao, Raghu Rampal, and others.
The delegation’s demands come as the bus stand is set to be shifted to a new location in the coming weeks. The BJP representatives have expressed concern that the shift will not be in the best interests of the people if basic facilities are not provided first.
The District Magistrate has assured the delegation that their demands will be considered. However, it is not yet clear when the bus stand will be shifted or whether all of the delegation’s demands will be met.
