Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Town Police on Wednesday forwarded Four people, including one receiver of stolen goods, for allegedly committing theft from a patient at Jharsuguda Covid Hospital.
Police identified the culprit as Jugnu Bagh, Tarjan Ghasi and Dahi Sendhria along with Kamal Suna, the receiver of stolen goods
As reported, based on the complaint filed by Dr Laxman Karmi, Medical Officer of Covid hospital, Jharsuguda on 5th June regarding an allegation of one Prashanta Biswal regarding the theft of Gold chain Rs.10000/- and a mobile of his father Lt. Nandalal Biswal, at COVID Hospital, Mangal Bazar, Jharsuguda who admitted in COVID Hospital on dt. 24.04.2021 and expired on 30.04.2021 while undergoing treatment.
As per the internal enquiry by putting intelligence at different levels and found that accused namely Jugnu Bagh of Mangabazar, Bangalipada, Tarjan Ghasi, of OSAP 2nd Bn, OMP Ward No. 12 and Dahi Sendhria, of Mangalbazar, Bangalipada, Jharsuguda are engaged locally through the KHRSS outsourcing agency for the purpose of sanitary work and dead body packing in the COVID Hospital, Mangalbazar, Jharsuguda were theft the above-noted articles.
Based on this Jharsuguda Police registered a case and investigated the matter Under PS case No.273, Dt.05.06.2021 U/s 379/34 IPC and arrested the three culprits and forwarded them to court.
