“Yuva Sansad” Program at Laxminarayan College, Jharsuguda, Earns Government Recognition.

Jharsuguda: The “Yuva Sansad” (Youth Parliament) program organized at Laxminarayan College, Jharsuguda, has received special recognition from the Government of India. Held on December 25 in celebration of National Voters’ Day, the event witnessed the participation of over 50 students who engaged in discussions on key topics such as parliamentary procedures, the protection of democracy, freedom of expression, and constitutional rights.
A major highlight of the event was an in-depth debate on the topic “One Nation, One Election,” which was recorded and later submitted to the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Impressed by the presentation, the Indian Parliament acknowledged the effort and awarded certificates of appreciation to the organizing committee and all participants.
The event was directed by Political Science faculty member Prof. Tapan Sahu, with significant contributions from Head of the Department of political science Mr Raki Biswal, Dr. Sucharita Das, Prof. Tapan Kumar Barik, Prof. Purnima Mayee Das, and Prof. Himanshu Shekhar Mahakud.
Upon receiving the certificates, Dr. Snehlata Mishra, Principal of Laxminarayan College, congratulated all participants and organizers, calling this recognition a moment of pride for the institution.
