Book Fair and Storytelling Session Enthralls Students at DAV Public School, Brajrajnagar
Jharsuguda : A two-day book fair and storytelling event celebrating the joy of reading commenced today at DAV Public School, IB Valley Area, Brajrajnagar. Organized with the aim of fostering a love for books and literature, the event drew an enthusiastic response from students, parents, and book lovers.
The Book Fair was inaugurated by A.K. Pandey, General Manager of IB Valley Area, MCL, Brajrajnagar. Featuring a diverse collection of novels, short stories, encyclopaedias, academic books, and more, the fair has something to offer readers of all ages. Scheduled to run from 18th to 19th November 2024, the fair saw a large turnout on its opening day, with students and parents eagerly exploring the wide array of publications on display.
Adding to the excitement was a captivating storytelling session led by renowned storyteller and podcaster Kapila Nagpal. Over 1,200 students attended the session, where Nagpal’s engaging narratives kept the audience spellbound, bringing stories to life in a memorable way.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Susant Kumar Pradhan encouraged students to cultivate a habit of reading, describing books as “portable magic boxes” filled with knowledge and imagination. He emphasized that book fairs play a vital role in promoting reading among people of all age groups and serve as a gateway to a lifelong love for literature.
The event has succeeded in creating a buzz around the importance of books and reading, offering an enriching experience for the school community and beyond.
