Vivekananda Seva Sansad Observes International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
Jharsuguda: In observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, members of the Vivekananda Seva Sansad visited the Drug De-Addiction Center managed by the People’s Forum in Jharsuguda. The group provided awareness tips to 35 inmates, emphasizing the importance of overcoming addiction and leading a healthy, fulfilling life.
The delegation included Tapas Kumar Roy Choudhury, Sunil Chakrabarty, Ujjal Chatterjee, Sapan Raxit, Dulal Ray, Tushar Sen, and Prasanta Mohanty. They were accompanied by Sri Sanjay Jethy, Vice President of People’s Forum, and his associates.
Following the awareness session, the team distributed fruits, energy drinks, cake, biscuits, and inspirational books by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa Deb, Maa Sharda, and Swami Vivekananda to the inmates. The event aimed to inspire and motivate the inmates towards a positive transformation.
The occasion was marked by a spirit of compassion and hope, reinforcing the importance of community support in combating drug abuse and aiding recovery. The efforts of Vivekananda Seva Sansad and the People’s Forum were appreciated by the attendees, making it a memorable and impactful celebration.
