Jharsuguda MLA Assures Transformation of Laxminarayan College into a Government Institution

Jharsuguda: In a significant development that has brought a new ray of hope to the students and faculty of Laxminarayan College(LN College), the newly elected Jharsuguda MLA, Tankadhar Tripathy, has assured that the long-standing demand to transform the aided college into a government institution will soon be fulfilled.

During his recent visit to Laxminarayan College, MLA Tripathy had discussed with the students and faculty members and understood their concerns and aspirations. He acknowledged the critical role the college plays in the region’s educational landscape and emphasized the importance of its transition to a government institution.

“After visiting the college, I met with students, faculty and principal and discussed the problems of the college and assured that very soon, Laxmi Narayan College will be recognized as Government College. My main priority will always be education. This has been a long-awaited demand of the people of Jharsuguda. I am committed to ensuring that Laxminarayan College is transformed into a government college,” said Tripathy during his visit.

L.N. College Principal Dr Snehalata Mishra Said, “Our new MLA had visited the college and discussed various issues of the college and assured to solve the problems Subsequently, I am very happy that he has assured that within one year Laxminarayan College will become a Government College.”

The assurance from the MLA has sparked a ray of hope among the students, who believe that the transformation will lead to better infrastructure, more qualified faculty, and increased funding for various educational programs. It is expected to also bring in more resources, improving the overall academic environment and making higher education more accessible to students from different socio-economic backgrounds.

Nandini Patra, a +3 year student said, “ Our college is one of the oldest colleges, if this college becomes a government college then it will be very fruitful for the students who belong to the middle class.”

Akhil Singh, a resident of Jharsuguda said, “I am very happy that our MLA has assured that Laxminarayan College will become Government College but earlier also several leaders had assured but nothing was done. However, I am hopeful that this time it will be fulfilled.”

Laxmi Narayan College was established on 18th August 1969 and at present has a strength of 1450 students.
