Jharsuguda : Orient Police on Wednesday arrested two person for committing robbery from auto passenger in Brajrajnagar.
Police identified the accused as MD. Qurban @ Sakil (22), resident of Mangalbazar Charkha Bidi Gali, of Jharsuguda and MD.Arman(19), resident of Millat Colony, Near Masjid, of Jharsuguda
As per Police officials, On a complaint filed by one Jagannath Meher , that when he was returning from Bargarh after purchasing a Sambalpuri Saree, he had arrived at Jharsuguda in a Bus from Bargarh and after that he had come to Gandhi Chowk By an Auto from Bombay Chowk, which was driven by Md. Qurban alias Sakil along with another accused person Md. Arman sitting in the Auto. When the Auto arrived at Gandhi Chowk, the complainant repeatedly asked the accused to proceed towards Belpahar, but the accused driver did not stop and turned to mines road and on the way near Mine No. 03 Jungle the accused Md. Qurban alias Sakil stopped his Auto and assaulted the passenger with stick and snatched way a cash of Rs. 600 along with a mobile phone and 2 nos of Sambalpuri Saree and fled away the spot.
After the Complained lodged, Orient Police officials conducted a raid and arrested both the accused and Forwarded to Court
