Jharsuguda: Vehicle Inspection Tightened for ‘Zero Death Week’; 162 Violators Fined
Jharsuguda: The administration has tightened vehicle inspection measures as part of its efforts for a “zero death week.” On Wednesday, a total of 162 violators were fined Rs. 7,57,020 for breaking traffic laws, including driving without a license, not wearing a helmet, and speeding beyond the posted limits.
The Transport Department has also provided information on other rule violations, such as failing to wear seat belts, incorrectly displaying registration numbers, and disobeying enforcement authorities’ instructions. These measures are aimed at promoting safer driving practices and reducing the number of accidents on the road.
