Manmohan Samal named as Odisha BJP President

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of 2024 General Election BJP President JP Nadda appointed Manmohan Samal as New BJP President of Odisha . He will take over from Sameer Mohanty in this capacity. Samal, the unsung hero who helped the BJP candidate win the recently-concluded byelection in Dhamnagar.

Samal had won�the�2004�general�election�as�a�Bharat�Janata�Party�candidate�in�the Dhamnagar assembly�constituency.

He�was also the�Minister�of�Food�Supplies,�Camp�Welfare,�and�Revenue�in�Naveen�Patnaik’s�cabinet�during�the�BJP-BJD�coalition.
It is significant to remember that Manmohan Samal was born on April 15, 1959, in the Bhadrak District. He has graduated in both law and the arts, Samal entered politics when he was a student at Bhadrak College, he was selected in 1979 to hold the position of President. He joined the ABVP during this time. He eventually joined the BJP and served three times as its state president. He was elected to represent the Bhadrak district of Dhamnagar in 2004.
