Odisha govt to provide interest free loan to its employee for purchase EV
Bhubaneswar: To purchase electric vehicles without incurring interest is now available to odisha government employees. On Friday, the Finance Department sent out a notification in this regard.
For both two and four wheelers, the government will pay its employees in advance. For only one vehicle will an employee receive advance. By the end of 2025, this facility will still be functional.
The government will provide a down payment for a two-wheeler or electric vehicle. Employees in Group A or B will receive up to Rs 15 lakhs, or up to 75% of the cost of the car or electric vehicle. Employees in Group C and D would also receive an advance to purchase two-wheelers. 75 percent or a maximum of Rs 2 lakh of the vehicle’s cost. 100 monthly payments will be made for the total.
On the other hand, the policies state that employees who have accepted advance money to purchase electric vehicles would be disciplined if they break the laws. That is, if you choose to spend your money on other things rather than an automobile, you will suffer consequences.
