NabaDas Murder case :Crime Branch takes Gopal Das on four days remand
Jharsuguda : A day after,Odisha Government transfered Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Rahul Jain and Brajrajnagar Sub Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Gupteshwar Bhoi. Odisha Government on Wednesday, suspended the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Odisha Minister Naba Kishore Das’, Mitrabhanu Deo from the service over Charges of dereliction of duty and transferred Brajarajnagar Police Station officer in charge Pradyumna Kumar Swain and Gandhi Chowk police outpost in-charge Sashi Bhusan Podha. Swain was transferred to Sambalpur district police headquarters, while Podha was transferred to Sonepur district police headquarters.
On the other hand, On Wednesday Odisha Crime Branch got four days remand of the accuse Assistant Sub Inspector Gopal Das, who shot Odisha Health Minister Naba Das on 29th January.
On Monday, the Crime Branch had produced Gopal Das before the JMFC residential court in Jharsuguda and prayed to take him on five days remand to interrogate him regarding the murder case. However, the court has permitted to take the accuse Gopal Das on four days remand.
“Crime Branch had filed a petition to take remand of Gopal Das who is the accused in the murder case of Minister Naba Das. Crime branch had asked for seven days remand but after hearing the court has granted for four days remand and the remand will start from 1st February till 4th February.” Said Defense Lawyer Advocate Hari Shankar Agarwal
