Family alleges medical negligence after the death of six-year-old Child
Jharsuguda : Â A family member of a 6-year-old child who died after administering an injection by a doctor in Brajrajnagar on Wednesday, has alleged that due to the negligence of the doctor, the girl died.
Police identified the deceased girl as Tulsi Mahanand (6-year-old) resident of Sashtrinagar of Brajrajnagar.
As per the report, on Wednesday morning, the family members had taken Tulsi Mahanand to a doctor at his Clinic for treatment of boils on her head at Gandhi Chowk in Brajrajnagar, where the doctor had administered an injection after which the girl’s condition worsens, then a staff of the doctor had taken her to the Central Hospital at Brajrajnagar, where the condition the girl again deteriorated after which she was taken to another doctor at Jharsuguda where she died while treatment, after which the family members on Wednesday late night had filed an FIR against the doctor who gave the injection and demanded to arrest the doctor.
On Thursday, the family members had also staged a protest at Gandhi Chowk, demanding to arrest the doctor responsible for the death of their daughter, after assurance from police officials they had called off their protest.
Brajrajnagar Police station in-charge Kalyani Behera said, “We have registered a case and have sent the body for post-mortem and investigating the matter.â€
