One arrested for mobile theft

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Town police on Thursday arrested a 24-year-old youth for committing mobile robbery. Police identified the accused as Md. Azad (24), a resident of Talsara under Sundargarh District.

As per the report, On 26th November, the accused riding on his Red Colored Activa bike had snatched a mobile from one Deepak Sukhwal, who was standing and speaking with one of his friends at Shani Mandir Chowk at 6.30 pm. After committing the crime, the accused had also snatched a mobile phone from another person Ratiranjan Mahakud at Goushala Gali in Jharsuguda and fled away from the spot. After receiving a complaint report from a complaint from Deepak Sukhwal, Jharsuguda Police investigated the case and with the help of CCTV footage, police identified the accused and nabbed him from Sundargarh and recovered both mobile phones and seized the vehicle used in this crime. As per police Md. Azad has already robbery cases registered in other police stations also.
