Missing woman re-unites with her husband after one year
Jharsuguda : A 40 year old woman who went missing from her home at Assam, reunited with her husband on Saturday.
The 40 year old woman was identified as Malati Basumatary, a native of Tharaibari, under Udalguri district,Assam. she went missing one year ago from his native place Assam and was rescued by Jharsuguda Town Police on 18.03.2020 at Sarbahal area in Jharsuguda and was admitted at Mission Ashra for treatment of her Mental Illness. With the help of the People’s Forum, the District Administration she was treated for her mental illness at rehabilitation center for mentally ill and destitute women i.e. Mission Ashra, H.Katapali, Jharsuguda.
After one year treatment for mental and physical illness, as well as psychological counseling and other therapies. She was able to provide the details of the full address of her home town to the counselor of the center.
On Saturday, Malati’s husband and relatives arrived in jharsuguda from Tharaibari, P.S – Mazbat, Dist – Udalguri, State – Assam. and took her back to her home in Assam. During this Jharsuguda Additional District Magistrate Pradeep Kumar Sahoo , Block Social Security Officer Mrs. Pratibha Bhera and Lecture Smt. Mandakani Satpathy were present .
Presently, 127 inmates are being treated at this Rehabilitation center and 162 patients have cured and returned their home. In addition to presenting a farewell her with the gift of lord Jagannath and wished her a bright future.
