Not an Accident: Couple Charred to death by nephews and Nieces
Jharsuguda: In a horrifying incident, the half-burnt dead body of a Couple was from their residence in Rampur under Brajrajnagar Police Station Limits on Friday Morning, Though initially it looked like an accident by later in the investigation revealed that the couple were murdered by their nephew and nieces.
The deceased were identified as Gita Das (40) while her husband Giriwara Das (45), both residing at their house at Rampur, Brajrajnagar. Giribara Das use to run a Pan Shop.
As per reports, on Friday morning, in between 8.15 to 8.30 am, the couple was found lying dead in their home. When the deceased couple�s son Priyanshu Das had returned back from tuition and saw that his mother was burning, who later rushed and informed to the neighbours and relative who later reached the spot and informed the Brajrajnagar police.
Later Brajrajnagar police reached the spot and started its investigation. Even the Forensic Team was called in for the investigation purpose. Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Rahul PR including Brajrajnagar SDPO Dilip Das and other police officials had also visited the spot.
Youngest son of the deceased couple, Priyanshu Das said, �When I came back from Tuition and tried to open the door, the steel door was very hot and then I saw my mother burning, I ran to call my relative, living nearby.�
Subsequently the elder brother, Dhilaram Das said, �My brother and his wife had gone for a morning walk and afterwards my brother has also gone to open his Pan Shop. Meanwhile, after a few hours, my brother�s son had come running and said that my mother is burning please come fast and I reached here. I saw that her mother was burning and we tried to doze the fire. I don�t know how they were brunt.�
Dhilaram filed a complain, based on which the police registered a case. Though the case was initially looked like an accident but after the investigation, it was revealed that the couple were murdered by their nephews and nieces.
Jharsuguda SP Rahul PR said, �The case is in the investigation stage after the Inquest of bodies and Post Mortem, further details will be known.�
