Bollywood Former actor Vishal Anand, known for his 1976�s Chalte Chalte role, has died on October 4, Sunday, due to prolonged illness. He has appeared in 11 films in his career and worked with a renowned actor such as Ashok Kumar, Simi Garewal, and Mehmood. He has also directed and produced a few films.
Anand�s family note to media, �Bhisham Kohli also known as Vishal Anand passed away in the afternoon of October 4, 2020. He was 82 years old, and not keeping in good health since the last couple of months. We would like people to remember him from the 1976 super-hit song & movie Chalte Chalte. Our prayers are with him. May he rest in peace. We kindly request members of the media to respect the family�s privacy during this sad time.�
Vishal Anand�s best-known hit, Chalte Chalte, opposite to Simi Garewal, was also a film producer. He is also known for giving music director Bappi Lahiri his big break in Bollywood.
