 Bollywood star, Akshay Kumar will be celebrating his 53 birthday today. Popularly known as Khiladi Kumar, Kumar is turning out to be his best year. The handsome star has been working in the industry for almost three decades, and with each film, he proved himself, why he is considered as one of the versatile actors in Bollywood. The actor is known for his dedication towards fitness, love and time for his family. The Khiladi actor proved if you are dedicated and discipline in your life, nothing will come in your way. Known for doing 3- 4 films a year, recently, he is the only Bollywood actor to be featured on Forbes’ list of top 10 highest-paid actors in the world.

1.Coronavirus Relief Fund 

While the country is affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and people are urged to stay indoors, many don’t have that privilege of staying at home. There are daily wage workers, who are left with limited sources and lesser resources for arranging necessities like food and shelter. Akshay Kumar is one of the first Bollywood celebrities to come forward to their rescue and donated Rs. 25 crores to PM CARES Fund. 

2.Flood Relief Funds

In recent years, most parts of the country like Kerala, Assam, Chennai, Odisha were left devastated after being majorly hit by floods. The state government is possibly doing everything, whatever they could in their capacity. People from across the country also stood in solidarity to help them. Akshay Kumar came forward and donated Rs. 1 crore each to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Kaziranga Park rescue mission.

3.Home for Transgenders 

Akshay Kumar will be soon playing the role of a transgender person in his upcoming film Laxmi Bomb. The film is said to be a remake of a Tamil horror comedy Muni 2: Kanchana. The director of the film Raghava Lawrence shared a post on social media, how Akshay Kumar joined hands with him to provide a home to the transgender people.

4.Donated for the families of Pulwama attack martyrs

In the outcome of Pulwama terror attack on the CRPF jawans, Akshay Kumar came forward to help the families of those sacrificed their lives in the attack. He donated Rs. 15 Lakh to a martyred jawan’s family and even urged his fans to do the same. He further pledged to donate Rs. 5 crores through ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ app. He additionally donated Rs. 9 Lakh each to the families of 12 CRPF jawans who were killed in Chattisgarh. 

5.Bharat Ke Veer Initiative 

Akshay Kumar even launched a website and an app with the help of the government to help the families of the soldiers who lost their lives serving the country. Recently, Akshay also launched the multi-player action gaming app FAU-G and 20% of its net revenue generated will be donated to #BharatKeVeer Trust.
