Sushant Singh Rajput�s remarkable film Sonchiriya to be re-released?

Sushant Singh Rajput demised has been more than 45days. But still, many fans are not able to get over from the incident. Fans are still remembering his remarkable contribution to all the character played by him and also his sensible nature. People are still paying tribute in a various artistic way. Recently his last film, Dil Bechara which was released on the Disney+ Hotstar got more than 95millions views in the first 24hours. Sushant’s best performance in Abhishek Choubey’s Sonchiriya is said to be one of the finest performances of his career. However, the movie didn’t perform well at the box-office. Now after the untimely death of the actor, the moviemakers are reportedly planning to re-release the film in theatres and on a digital platform too, as a tribute to Sushant.

The movie was released on March 1, 2019. It also couldn’t get enough screens as the film was released in only 720 screens across India and 220 screens in the overseas market, making it only 940 screens globally. Sushant’s was reportedly unhappy with the fact of less number of screens. 

Star cast includes Sushant’s as Lakhan, Manoj Bajpayee as Maan Singh, Bhumi Pednekar as Indumati Tomar, Ranvir as Vakil Singh, Ashutosh Rana as Balkhandiya Singh Gujjar and Lankesh Bhardwaj as Inspector Fort. It’s an action film co-written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey. The movie was set in the Chambal valley and follows the story of a group of dreaded, conflicting bandits who once terrorised the Indian heartlands.

Sonchiriya was produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP Movies. The film clashed at the box office with romantic comedy Luka Chuppi starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in lead. Luka Chuppi did well at the box- office and Sushant’s film tanked. 

Sushant Singh Rajput once said in his interview that he felt nice when the reviews appreciate one�s efforts. He also made it clear that box office success was not important to him. �I work entirely for my job satisfaction. Otherwise, I could have made money in any other profession. I am here to make a difference, firstly to myself. When I look back on my body of work I want to feel a sense of pride. Whether it is Kai Po Che, Byomkesh Bakshy, Dhoni, Kedarnath or Sonchiriya, I am happy and proud to be associated with these films.�
