CAC of Western Bar Association resolved to intensify the agitation.
Jharsuguda: The Central Action Committee (CAC) of Western Odisha Bar Association has resolved to intensify the ongoing agitation over the establishment of High Court bench in Western Odisha. This was decided at a meeting of the CAC held here on Wednesday at Jharsuguda.
The lawyers have been agitating over the demand and paralysing the functioning of courts since long. 2006
Members and representative from Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kuchinda, Boudh, Bonai, Barpali, Attabira, Deogarh, Rairakhol, Sundargarh and Rajgangpur Bar Association were present in this meeting.
Co-convener of Central Action Committee (CAC) Pramod Kumar Das said that” In this meeting, it is decided that we will continue paralyzing of the functioning of court for every month last three days as it was earlier and for the conveniences of people even the hearing on an urgent and emergency matter will continue.
However, as there is no significant development in further proceeding the proposal of the state government the meeting unanimously resolved to paralyse the functioning of all State and Central Government offices, All financial institutions including Treasury and Corporate institutions during the last three days of every month. �Additionally, we have also planned for a total ‘Maha Bandh’ in the month of September, in all the ten districts of Western Odisha, However, the dates are yet to be finalised.”
After that, If the government still not hear us then we will increase the agitation by one day subsequently every month.
