Jharsuguda : At one side where the Jharsuguda & Brajrajnagar temperature is getting hotter and hotter, similarly the election campaigning in Jharsuguda & Brajrjanagar Assembly constituency has also become hotter after the better halves of two Biju Janta Dal Candidates have started their door-to-door campaign, asking votes for their husbands in a big way for the assembly poll scheduled to take place on April 18th.
As their husbands who had been campaigning their election in their respective assembly constituency for past few days, their better halves have been supporting them by carrying out their campaigns in various villages and household under Jharsuguda & Brajrajnagar Constituency.
The candidates wives are largely focusing on the women voters who constitute over 49 Percent of the total electorate in Jharsuguda Assembly segment and 48 Percent of the total electorate in Brajrajnagar Assembly.
Minati Das wife of Jharsuguda BJD Candidate Naba Kishore Das had been campaigning door to door in Jharsuguda constituency for past eight days.
Smt. Minati Das said that “I and my women team chalk out the plan for the day and usually start my campaign from morning 10 a.m. to 2 pm in the first half of the day holding meetings, door to door campaigns. And in the evening from 5 pm till 9:30 pm in the night. I have been visiting every household and have been telling about all developmental works carried by my husband in Jharsuguda and have been asking the voters to vote for him and re-elect. However, this time there is little difference as he has joined Biju Janta Dal leaving Congress but Jharsuguda public has been supporting him and I expect that this time also they would extend their valuable support to him.”
Similarly on the other end, Alka Mohanty, wife of Brajrajnagar Biju Janta Dal’s Candidate Kishore Kumar Mohanty had also have been campaigning in Brajrajnagar along with her BJD women supporters.
Smt. Alka Mohanty said that” I had been campaigning in last 2014 election at Jharsuguda Constituency but campaigning in Brajrajnagar constituency this year, doesn’t feel any different. Our party workers are playing a vital role in the election campaign and I am a part of it. I usually come out for campaigning from morning 9.00 am and return back by 10:00 p.m. at night. However, I am quite hopeful that BJD will win here, but at the sametime, I am not overconfident and have left over to almighty God to decide.”
