Robbers loot jewellery, cash worth 9 lakh
Jharsuguda: Five unidentified armed men struck a house in Bagdihi on Tuesday afternoon and decamped with cash worth Rs 7 lakh and Jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh.
As per the police sources, the incident took place at around 1:30 p.m. , when the owner of the house, Daulatram Agarwal had returned from his Petrol Pump and was about to have lunch with his family members, when two unidentified men entered the main door of the house and had shown a knife and pistol and had asked to hand over the money kept in the treasury of the house. �Later, they were joined by another three men and had threatened to kill them if they do not hand over the cash and valuables. After taking the cash and Jewellery in a bag, they fled away after threatening them to not to open the door from outside.
After information, the Laikera Police Station rushed to the spot and started its investigation.
Jharsuguda SDPO Kailash Chandra Acharya said that,” We �got an information and learnt that around five armed men had fled away with 7 Lakhs cash along with two gold chain and two gold finger ring by showing knife and pistols. There is no CCTV present. However, we are investigating the matter.”
