Snehal Raj of Jharsuguda District, secures All India Rank (AIR) 168 in JEE Advanced 2017
Jharsuguda: A boy from Jharsuguda District, Snehal Raj, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 168 in JEE Advanced 2017, results of which published on Sunday.
Students often forgo all the recreational activities to prepare for the competitive exams as the race a seat in the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) in India gets tougher every year.
However, for Snehal, a game of football and listening music once a while was enough to relieve the stress and re-energize him for his goal of bagging a seat in IIT.
“It was my dream to go to an IIT since my childhood, and after securing AIR 168, I am very happy for this. I usually count productive hours of study which was around 6-7 hours a day. During this one has to be the focus and devote time dedicatedly to completed a task, irrespective of whether it is achieved in an hour or the entire day,” the 17-year-old, who want to pursue Computer Science and aim to open his own Startup in future.
Snehal completed his Class 12 from Belpahar English Medium School (BEMS), Belpahar in the year 2015, and had secured 94% �in Science Stream. Since then he has joined Allen Coaching in Kota for preparing for IIT
“My Teacher at during the preparation used to say if you secured lower mark then don’t get disappointed rather look forward to performing much better next time. I usually� tend to discuss with my parents, due to which I never felt any stress at all,” said Snehal
Snehal’s parents were the happiest one. ” We are very happy with the achievement of our son, we had never imagined that he would bag this rank but his hard work paid off at the end.” �his father Rajesh Kumar, employed with Mahanadi Coalfields Limited at IB Valley Area, Brajrajnagar. His mother Neeta Kumar (PHD in Botany)�is an Ex. Lecturer of Sambalpur University, Burla
He had also appeared for �Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) this year in which he has secured AIR 274.
Another boy, Shailesh Mishra of Brajrajnagar has secured 1203 rank in this year JEE Advance.
